In 2002, Michael Moran, a student at Clark Atlanta University, began working part-time at C&B Barbecue. Although just part-time, Michael was exposed to and helped support every aspect of the restaurant’s operations. Once he graduated from CAU, Michael continued at C&B Barbecue, expanding his responsibilities and producing more and more success. As Mike’s role grew, he recognized the untapped potential to provide a high quality catering service, specializing in buffet lunches to offices and groups. Seizing the opportunity with unwavering determination, Michael serviced and grew the catering business, and it quickly flourished under his guidance. Initially fueled by strong relationships with pharmaceutical sales representatives, who regularly sought to delight their customers’ medical staffs with delicious barbecue lunches, C&B Barbecue quickly became a culinary cornerstone in the medical community.

The barbecue was delicious and the baked beans were phenomenal!! Smoked chicken was awesome, and the collards were hot and tasty. They are kind of tucked away off Cobb Pkwy, so you have to pull into the shopping center parking lot to find them. But, you'll be glad you did.
I was looking for a rib joint that reminded of great barbecue from the back yard. This is your spot. The ribs were so delicious I forgot to use the sauce. My grands also had the Mac and cheese and collards. OMG it was done in 5 minutes and they are picky eaters. I am about to order a sandwich to go for later. I would also say their lemonade is delicious as well. This is not a five star restaurant but this is a down home spot with five star food.
C&B BBQ in Smyrna is worth the drive! May seem strange but the salmon is epic. We have been enjoying their bbq for years. This is real, not some mass market chain food. The greens are awesome, not canned! Best bbq I’ve had in the ATL area. Reminds me of Payne’s on Lamar Ave in Memphis. We will continue to support this local establishment & hope you will too.
